40th birthday celebration weekend

June 24, 2013

Last weekend we were working for a client’s 40th birthday which he decided to celebrate in BIG STYLE in his beautiful Villa!

The celebration started already the saturday afternoon where we had prepared canapés that the guests enjoyed by the pool while drinking Magnum bottles of Champagne.

It then continued with dinner, where we organized a big bbq buffet with gambas, swordfish, fillet of beef, chicken, mini camembert cheese parcels and spicy merguez sausages with loads of different salads and sauces.

For his birthday cake I made a three-layered chocolate and raspberry mousse cake with fresh raspberries, that I decorated with chocolate shavings and chocolate macarons.

It was a fantastic party and the clients had especially flown in a famous Swedish band that was playing all night long. It was indeed a great party with a fantastic ambience!

The day after I made them a classic American brunch with eggs and bacon, sausages, honey bbq chicken wings, fried mushrooms with caramelized onions and thyme, roasted baby tomatoes, smoked salmon with cream cheese and bagels, mini sliders (hamburgers) with fries, mini sandwiches, salads and mini shots with Bloody Marys. And of course fresh orange juice and coffee along with fresh fruit salad, brownies and doughnuts. -The perfect remedie when you’re hung over!

The most popular dish was without a doubt the mini sliders with chili dressing that I served with mini fries in newspaper in small shot glasses. (photo below)

It was a very successful weekend with extremely happy clients!
