St Tropez and Club 55

July 26, 2013

Last weekend we went to St Tropez for the day. We got there early and had a stroll in the town and passed by one of my favourite markets here on the Côte d’Azur and bought some fresh cherries. They also have the cutest little fish market with all the fresh mediterranean fish and seafood you can imagine. I could spend hours here!

The place to go to in St Tropez for either breakfast, lunch or Apèritif  is of course the famous Senequier which is situated in the heart of the port, and it was also here we had our breakfast. Started with some coffee and fresh orange juice, and then ordered eggs benedict to then finish with the classic Tropezienne (as you have to have when you’re in St Tropez) along with their fresh smoothies.

After some more strolling around we met up with some friends at the club 55 and enjoyed a great lunch!

We ordered their huge Crudité platter with anchoïde (which is a must when you’re here), petits fritures, Paella and grilled corn on the cob. The food is pricy but really nice, and you tend to go here more for the nice ambiance then the food, so it’s definitely worth it. And be prepared for some really classy people watching!
